Telegraph Epilogue: Old Reliable

It’s been years since my last seafaring adventure, but this year, I snuck off to Telegraph Cove at the tip of Vancouver Island to get my fish on. Notable mentions include a couple dozen cohos, several pinks, my first halibut, a 50-pound skate – and of course, lots of solid photos.

VIVID Entertainment has been really good to me lately, and this weekend, they called me out for photo duty for Bonafide Saturday at Shine Nightclub. With a full house and five photographers roaming the room, things got a little packed, but all things considered, the night went incredibly well.

Moo MiniCards

Vanity Insanity: First Batch of Moo Cards!

I’ve been debating on taking the Moo MiniCard plunge, but now that I have, I can safely say I’ve been nothing but ecstatic with the results.

For the uninitiated, Moo sells customizable, half-height business cards (as well as a handful of other customizable goodies). The cards are printed featuring your favourite images on one side and the text of your choice on the other.

As a way of demonstrating my portfolio, it was paramount that these cards portrayed my work well – and Moo did not disappoint. With my photos faithfully recreated on a 16pt stock with a matt laminate finish, the cards stand out boldly in both appearance and texture. I’ll see how future contacts react to them, but the feedback to date has been unanimous: these cards rock.

What do you folks think? Do you have Moo cards of your own? Post yours in the comments!

P.S. A word of warning to those interested: when printing dark photos, make sure to up the exposure a bit. I wish I did.
