This Saturday, January 23rd, 2010, Andy Moor – #15 DJ in the world (and a personal hero of mine) – made his first Vancouver appearance of 2010 in a sold-out show at Mint Nightclub. With the venue packed wall-to-wall, Andy put on massive show that had attendees in a frenzy, despite a series of sound problems.
My highlight of the night? I was crouching out of a photograph, and Andy rushed past, kneeing me in the face. Still deciding whether or not I’m happy about that encounter. Meh. C’est la vie. Good show, Andy Moor!
Looking for more photos of the night? They’re all on Flickr and Facebook!

Hi! I just found your blog from nicole at lemodedejour. I am entranced by your photography especially your travel photography! I love photography and I am slowly learning more and more each day. Your photos definitely inspire me to take my photography further! I was wondering, what camera do you use and what lens do you shoot with most often (especially for your travel pictures). I hope to hear from you! x J
@Joey: Thank you so much for writing! That really, really means a lot. For the public record, my mainstays are a first-generation Canon 5D and a Canon 24-105mm f/4.0L lens. In club situations, I use a Canon 430EXII to light my way around the room. I’ll e-mail you shortly.
